Power Yoga for the Mind contains a modified version of the Ashtanga Primary series. The class begins with 4 half Sun salutations, 4 Sun Salutation A and , 4 Sun Salutation B. It has been modified to fit into a one hour format. The class continues with the triangle series, forward bends and other poses from the primary series. You will build upper body strength and stamina with this practice.

Most people can get down to the floor; getting up is the hard part!  Starting with breathing exercises (pranayama), the class moves on to eye exercises.  Using the chair we work on strength, balance and flexibility.  Special emphasis is placed on strengthening the feet, calves and muscles associated with walking. We finish with a 5 minute meditation for your mind.
